I love being able to match gorgeous fabrics with unusual bases to create something truly unique. There are so many beautiful fabrics around - it's such a treat to use them!

All of the hard and soft lampshades are hand made by me in my home studio in Wiltshire. I don’t mass-produce any of the lampshades, so what you buy from me is genuinely a one-off. Small scale production can be time consuming, especially when making hand-sewn soft shades, but it really is worth the wait - the results are beautiful and are made to last.

I always try to place the fabric to best suit the pattern. Due to pattern repeats and the size of the print, it is not always possible to precisely pattern match on the join. Furthermore, due to the nature of block print and wax print fabrics, there may be small imperfections as each piece of fabric is handmade and one of a kind.

The hard lampshades are lined with heat-safe PVC backing material that has passed the glow wire test carried out by the Lighting Association. Low energy bulbs are recommended for use with these lampshades. The lampshade frames are made with a 39mm European ring fitting, and a removable 29mm UK reducing ring which allows them to fit most light fittings and bases.

Lampshade Styles
Lampshades can be made as either pendant (for ceiling lights and some floor lamps), or table lamps. A pendant lampshade has the utility fixture at the top, and a table lamp has the fixture at the bottom.
Lampshades come in many different shapes and styles, and can be tailored to suit your home.
